Think of the most valuable item in your possession. The most expensive, the most beautiful, the most special. You wouldn’t throw that away. Never in your life. But in the Bronze Age, some 4,000 years ago, that’s exactly what people did. Bronze was incredibly precious, and yet beautiful jewellery and gleaming swords disappeared into swamps and rivers. This happened in Limburg as well. Why did people do that?

You will unravel the story of jewellery, axes and swords found in Limburg rivers. Where were these made? And why did people in the Bronze Age throw away these valuable items? We challenge you to ask yourself what is valuable to you. Would you leave something precious behind, as people did in the Bronze Age? We need you to solve the greatest mystery of the Bronze Age!
