Donations & Loan requests

Are you considering making a donation?

Thank you for thinking of us.

Financial donations

We gladly accept contributions to the museum in the form of financial donations. You can earmark your donation for a specific activity at the Limburgs Museum, such as an exhibition, research, conservation, education, or a purchase. Under the Dutch Geefwet (Gift and Inheritance Tax Act), donations to cultural institutions with an ANBI (public benefit organization) status – such as the Limburgs Museum – have been made more attractive for tax purposes.

If you have any questions or would like to make a financial donation, please contact Linda Frints at l.frints@limburgsmuseum.nl.

Donation of an object

Would you like to donate an object to the Limburgs Museum? If so, please send an e-mail to our Collections department (collecties@limburgsmuseum.nl) with a description and clear photo of the object.

If we accept it, we promise to take care of it for a long time. That is why we carefully consider beforehand whether the object fits in with our collection policy. Although this is not always the case, we always appreciate your gesture.

Charles Hubert Eyck, Atelier Ravensbos. Oil on canvas. Collection Limburgs Museum.

Loan requests

The Limburgs Museum considers it important to make objects from the collection visible. That is why we regularly make our objects available to other institutions on loan. In principle, we do not loan out objects that form part of permanent exhibitions or which are in poor condition.
Please submit a loan request as early as possible, at least three months before the start of the loan period. You will receive an answer from us within four weeks. No rights can be derived from the loan request.

Please include details of the requesting institution and a contact person in your request. Please let us know when and why you would like to loan an object. Is it for an exhibition? Or for research?
